Friday follow-up #6

Hmmm, it's been a busy week so it all sort of runs together! Here is an attempt at catching you all up:)

  • Brandon officiated a funeral on Monday for a little baby. So sad. God has blessed the family with peace. Please continue to pray for Chris and Lisa. Read about their story HERE.
  • Had a camp parent meeting this week and Merrick leaves for camp on Sunday. I am a nervous wreck- can someone say "overprotective"? The great thing about the meeting was hearing everyone else's questions and knowing I am not the only one who's nervous.
  • Planned Ethan's party at Pump it up- he is PUMPED! ha ha
  • Brandon got to see the Foo Fighters live (he'll have to tell you more about that later)
  • Our good friends John and Bre are moving today...sad day. We will miss them being down the street, we will miss them at church, we will miss them at work....pretty sure we are going to miss them. The picture above was taken at their farewell dinner. I had more to add but can't figure out our new camera software. I think I need a tutorial :)
How was your week? The one thing I know is that for me it's all about friendships on this earth- people are the ones who make the difference. What special people in your life help you through?

Movie Poll Results

I wanted to share the "movie poll" results with you. This was the poll posted on the side of our blog for a while.

Most people were anticipating Prince Caspian coming in at 13 votes. Second was a tie with Indiana Jones and The Happening coming in with 5 votes and then Wall-E with 4 votes.

In fifth place was Dark Knight with 3 votes. Then Kung Fu Panda, Speed Racer, and The Incredible Hulk all having 2 votes. Rounding out the list was Sex and the City and The Mummy 3 both with 1 vote. No one picked the choice "I don't like movies".

For the movies that have been released, have you seen them? Can you give us your feedback- sort of a little review for our viewing audience:) How often do you go to the movies?

What's YOUR favorite TV show?

EW.Com gives their list of the top 10 best and worst TV shows for 2007. Since we don't have cable, I don't get to watch half of them. We don't watch a lot of Television, but when we do, our favorites (in no particular order) are:

LOST
Survivor
One Tree Hill
Heroes

Does the list for 2007 surprise you? What are your favorites? How much time do you spend watching TV each week? (honestly) What show can you not go without missing?

Date night, Disney store and the Denver Broncos

We had a fun date last night. We first went to BJ's....every time I try something new there I love it. We also enjoyed a chocolate chunk pizookie (Which is from heaven I'm sure) while watching our Broncos get beat:(

Then we headed to the mall because I HAD to get some stuff for my lifepacks. I picked 2 girls thinking it would be fun to buy for a female but boy I was wrong. I could have picked out stuff for boys in about 2 minutes. In fact, I saw several things I wanted to get for my boys. The girls on the other hand made me stress out! Lord, I pray right now for the girl we adopt to have patience with me!!

Then we saw the movie Enchanted and I truly loved it. It was a clean, sweet movie that had a great message with it about relaxing and enjoying your spouse and being spontaneous.

We're getting ready for the snow storm that comes in tonight. What are your weekend plans? If you have some free time- check out BJ's and the movie Enchanted:)
