This Psalmist recalls the power of God displayed in Israel's history, when the red sea was split and the Jordan was stopped. This Psalm is an example of Israel remembering what God had done for them, remembering His powerful work. Many times we do not remember the powerful work of God in our past. God has done amazing things throughout history. That is why God has given us His Word. God has done amazing things in our lives. That is why God has given us a memory. Too many times we use our memory for the wrong things. Memory is a blessing, not a curse. Remember the awesome power of God, recall His great works!
